SOLAR PV PANELS
Solar panels, made up of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells, convert sunlight into direct current (DC) power. In essence, they turn dormant roofs into mini-electric power stations.
The DC power is then transferred from the solar photovoltaic panels to micro inverters, where it is converted from DC power into alternating current (AC) electricity for your home. AC power travels from the inverters to the electrical panel, often called a breaker box. This power is now ready to use in your home.

One of the great things about photovoltaic solar panel systems is that they are extremely reliable, efficient and durable. That’s why they are able to be backed up by long-term warranties.
In the last several years, solar technology improvements and demand have brought prices down to make it much more affordable for all of us.
Currently, the federal government provides a 30% tax credit on photovoltaic and hot water systems. The state of Hawaii gives a 35% tax credit. Combined, these incentives can take care of roughly two-thirds the cost of the system.
Haleakala Solar will guide you step by step on how to capitalize on these generous (and limited-time) programs.
This is the fun part. Other than the minimum that your utility company charges to be hooked up to their grid, no electric bills to pay! It’s like having your very own mini-electric company. And the great thing about all of this... less dependency on dirty, foreign oil. Over the long haul, your monetary savings can be enormous. Find out more about all the financial benefits you can reap from your new photovoltaic solar panel system...
