THE RISE OF SOLAR
The last few years has seen a dramatic rise in the amount of solar installations in Hawaii. Homeowners and businesses have taken advantage of the benefits of solar energy, lowering their electric bills and helping the environment.
Due to this high demand for solar, numerous companies and individuals jumped on the solar bandwagon. Most of these new start-ups were small companies or individuals, many of them working out of their garages.
UPSTARTS GO OUT OF BUSINESS
Due to policy changes with the utility company, the last few months have seen a drop in solar photovoltaic contracts. Because of this, a number of these upstart and even well-established companies have gone out of business, with many more predicted to close in the near future.
People that had their solar installations done by one of these companies, now face the question - what happens if I have problems with my solar system?
Haleakala Solar has been in business since 1977. We’ve seen the ups and downs of the solar industry, as well as the coming and going of countless other solar companies.
Over the last four decades, we have built our company on the backbone of service. While many companies focus primarily on installation, we’ve always felt it was important to service these installations.
With over 14,000 solar projects under our belts, we are proud to say, we have always been there for each and every one of our customers to assist when they needed us.
OUR S.O.S. PROGRAM
S.O.S. stands for Solar Orphan Service. This service is for customers that have been abandoned by their solar company (either by going out of business or simply not picking up their phones to answer your questions).
